Following an engine fire last June, the U.S Air Force did not want to take the risk to make the Lockheed Martin F-35 cross the Atlantic. During the test that followed, the 97 aircraft built were grounded. The program of development of this fighter is the most expensive of all time. To this date, the invoice to develop and manufacture the 2,457 copies expected could reach $ 400 billion.
