FARNBOROUGH AIRSHOW 2024 - Minimalist edition with 30% fewer aircraft on static display than in 2022.

In the notable absence of Boeing commercial airplanes illustrating the deep crisis that the American firm is going through, the Flying Displays had also been greatly reduced. Especially since aircraft manufacturers are having the greatest difficulty delivering them or taking new orders, due to supply chain failures, which have not yet recovered from Covid.

The 2024 edition of the Farnborough Airshow had a frankly vintage atmosphere with the come back of the F-16 and F-15 fighters from the 70s, in very improved versions of course. The F-16 on the eve of its entry into service in the Ukrainian War, the F-15 with its final EX version about to enter service in the U.S. Air Force to overcome the technical difficulties encountered in the operational commissioning of the F-35.

The future and innovation were however very present with the advances in terms of Sustainability which remains the essential word for the future of aviation, like the prototypes of the Urban Air Mobility aircraft, the e-aircraft which will animate the skies of our cities in ten years.
