The new tactical vehicle of the Dutch Special Forces

The ATTV (Air Transportable Tactical Vehicle), based on a partnership with the Dutch company Defenture Bv, is a light tactical vehicle of the 3 to 4 tons class. Transportable by the Chinook CH47 heavy helicopter, the ATTV is based on a civilian chassis that has been tested by the Paris Dakar rally! Based on a central tubular chassis, allowing an open architecture of the vehicle and a low centre of gravity, the vehicle is powered by a Steyr engine providing 220 horsepower (170km/h on the road 90 km/h off road). With its high capacity in terms of mobility, 50 ATTV have already been ordered by the Dutch Special Forces. The pre-series vehicle has already been delivered to the Dutch Special Forces who are conducting a test campaign while the deliveries are planned for next year.
