MSPO: KMW presents its vehicle for Special Forces
A new vehicle has, however, been unveiled for the first time at the Polish MSPO exhibition and it is German. Expected during the Eurosatory exhibition, the KMW vehicle dedicated to Special Forces, known as (Special Operations Vehicle), just made its first appearance. Weighing in running order of 7,500KG with a live load of 2,500KG, the SOC is powered by a 3.0 litter Iveco diesel engine, displaying a range of 900 km. The chassis protected ballistic and mine is presented as offering great mobility. The vehicle can carry between 3 and 6 people and modular, receive several types of weapons (12.7 mm or 40 mm grenade launcher, 5.56, 7.62 mm) or support a closed and protected cabin. Configured for the German Special Forces, it is air transportable without preparation and can fit into a CH-47 or a CH-53.
