Entrée en vigueur du contrat Rafale au Qatar

Le contrat portant sur l’acquisition de 24 Rafale par le Qatar est entré en vigueur ce jour.

Signé à Doha, le 4 mai dernier, en présence de Son Altesse Cheikh Tamim ben Hamad Al Thani, Émir de l’État du Qatar, et de Monsieur François Hollande, Président de la République française, ce contrat marque une nouvelle étape dans le partenariat stratégique associant le Qatar et la France. Il confirme également les liens historiques tissés depuis près de quarante ans avec Dassault Aviation.

« Dans un contexte géopolitique exigeant, le Qatar souhaite bénéficier des qualités du Rafale comme il a pu auparavant compter sur celles du Mirage F1, de l’Alpha Jet et du Mirage 2000. Cette marque de confiance honore Dassault Aviation et les 500 entreprises françaises associées au programme Rafale », déclare Eric Trappier, Président-directeur général de Dassault Aviation.

 

A propos du Rafale :

Le Rafale est un avion de combat biréacteur capable d’opérer depuis un porte-avions comme depuis une base à terre. Totalement polyvalent, le Rafale peut assurer toutes les missions dévolues à l’aviation de combat : défense aérienne, interception, appui au sol, frappe dans la profondeur, reconnaissance, frappe anti-navire, dissuasion nucléaire. Le Rafale est entré en service dans la Marine nationale en 2004 et dans l’armée de l’Air française en 2006. L’armée de l’Air égyptienne a reçu ses premiers exemplaires en 2015. Le Rafale a fait ses preuves au combat en Afghanistan, en Libye, au Mali, en Irak et en Syrie. Au 30 juin 2015, 138 Rafale avaient été livrés.
