The French Ministry of the Armed Forces has selected Airbus Defence and Space’s A321MPA for the Patmar program, signaling a significant move to modernize France's maritime patrol capabilities post-2030. This next-generation aircraft, based on the A321XLR platform, is set to replace the aging Atlantique 2 fleet, enhancing France’s ability to conduct anti-submarine warfare (ASW), anti-surface warfare, and intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) operations.
