Chris Raymond, Senior Vice President, Chief Sustainability Officer, Boeing at the Global Sustainable Aviation Forum of the COP28 at Dubai (December 2023).

The airline industry has a long history of working in partnership to drive change while connecting people, economies and communities. The Global Sustainable Aviation Forum at COP28 brought together representatives from airlines, airports, air traffic management and the civil aerospace sector to explore how to achieve its ambitious goal of net zero carbon by 2050. News technologies, efficiency improvements and, above all, the energy transition away from fossil fuels will contribute to decarbonization. He highlighted how partnerships are needed with governments, the financial sector and the energy industry, working alongside aviation experts, academic and research institutions to support this effort.
