Airbus BizLab Leader Hamburg


Alexander Katzung was appointed to the position of Airbus BizLab Leader Hamburg in July 2015 and has built up and leads the aerospace accelerator, Airbus BizLab in Hamburg where Airbus Innovators and startups transform innovative ideas into valuable businesses.


Mr. Katzung previously worked in Research and Technology, where his main tasks were to assess and implement new technologies and business models to the point of launching new products or services. His focus was on projects in the fields of additive manufacturing, “internet of things” and digitalization. During this time he launched the first 3D-printed spare part on the aftersales market.


Prior to that he led in the following areas: knowledge management; the service teams for professional networks; knowledge and innovation management training and knowledge management for the extended enterprise in Germany, UK and France.


Mr. Katzung previously worked as a consultant for various companies in the aviation, IT and healthcare industries and he also founded a company providing IT and sales services. Mr. Katzung studied business administration, psychology and sociology in Marburg and Kassel.
